What does SSE specialise in?
A: At SSE we specialize in bespoke tutoring, exam techniques, homeschooling, tutoring students with academic and/or mental health needs including anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD and school recommendations/placements both nationwide and overseas.
How does SSE tutoring work?
It is simple, you enrol, free of charge, and one of our team members will be in touch. We will talk through the student’s needs and answer any questions. We provide all educational content, you provide your laptop!
My child has school refusal can you help?
Yes. We understand it can be hard to cope when your child refuses to go to school. You might be feeling frustrated, worried, confused, angry, or disappointed. If you’ve tried chatting to your teenager and their school and school refusal is still an issue, SSE can discuss our flexible learning options with you.
Where do tutorials take place?
Tutorials take place either online, at home or at a public library.
Are SSE tutorials group tutorials or 1-1 tutorials?
We offer 1-to-1 tutoring sessions
How much is an SSE tutorial?
It depends on what the student needs and the individualised learning program that we design. Our flexibility means you can increase the number of sessions when there is an immediate need, and reduce sessions as you require. You can either choose to pay-as-you-go or purchase a package of tutorials. Tutorials start from $100 p/h.
Do you have to enter into a contract when you enrol?
No, we understand that plans change, so there are no lock-in contracts or subscription fees at SSE.
My child has ADD/ADHD can you help?
Yes we can certainly help, our tutors are experienced in tutoring students with ADD and ADHD.
How do you assess my child and know where to start with them?
At SSE we take the time to review student reports and recommendations and liase with the “whole team” to make an assessment of where to begin the learning journey. Should an educational assessment be required, we can arrange that for you.
How does SSE personalise tutorials for my child?
At SSE we work with the ” whole team” (the student, family, school, and at times medical teams) to ensure that we provide a program that is tailored to each students learning needs and goals.
Does the content align with my child’s school and the curriculum?
Yes. All our content is aligned to the Australian Curriculum and is relevant to your child’s school syllabus.
Will my child get the same tutor every time?
Yes we aim for your child to get the same tutor every session however if your tutor is sick, on leave or your availability changes, we’ll match you with another suitable tutor and update on your child’s progress. We keep in touch regularly to discuss your tutor preferences and any potential changes.
My child has mental health issues but still wants to do the HSC can you help?
Yes we specialize in this area! Please get in touch on 0457 007 020 and we will discuss the different pathways for your child to achieve their HSC.
